![]() This Movie would have been better without Trevor McNevan and his obnoxious rapping, but even that isn’t completely terrible. Adam is an amazing guitarist, and it really shows here. On the EP, there are 9 songs, some of which are songs that ended up on the self-titled album, but 3 of the ones that didn't, TV, In Front of Me, and My Own Life, are in my opinion some of the best songs this band has ever made. It sounds so much more raw than anything that came after it, especially their last 3 records, and they still had full control over their music. Extra props to them for being able to get that out at such a young age (Neil was 16, Adam was 17, Brad was 18, and I don’t know about Phil and Joe) without any big producers or record labels, and honestly, that’s another thing I like about it. However, over time, Wave of Popular Feeling has started to grow on me as well. The only problems I have with it are: 1) Trevor McNevan, and 2) the incomplete, awkwardly cut version of Burn. Don't get me wrong, I love their debut album, but while I will admit I didn't care for Wave of Popular Feeling at first, I've always loved the EP.
